Episode highlights
In this episode of This Connected Life, Mel Kettle welcomes back Steph Clarke, a multi-potentialite, lifelong learner, and futures thinking specialist, to discuss the evolving nature of connection, foresight, and the future of friendship. Steph shares her expertise on futures thinking, how leaders can use foresight to stay relevant, and why friendship deserves more value in today’s world.
We talk about:
Living a big life in a small place and insights into curating your ideal life.
The importance of imagining possibilities instead of predicting outcomes.
How leaders can identify signals of change and build "treasure maps" for the future.
The role of courage and imagination in navigating ambiguity and uncertainty.
Signals of change to watch for
Why friendship is undervalued compared to romantic relationships.

About Steph clarke
Hailing from the UK but calling Wurundjeri Land home since 2014, Steph is a life-long learner, bookworm, “multi-potentialite”, and generally curious human.
At 18 she started my career as an accountant, before quickly realising that she loved sharing ideas and information more than crunching numbers. Cue a career pivot into learning and development, where she spent 15 years facilitating programs all over the world and developing curriculum and learning experiences for professional services, financial services, fintech, industries, retail, government agencies, and utilities organisations.
Now, her work focuses more on what’s next. From working with teams to expand their thinking about the problems they face today and how they might play out tomorrow, to sharing the signals of change that spark bigger conversations about what’s possible.
