Keeping your dreams alive.

“Keep your dreams alive”, said Academy Award Winner Ke Huy Quan as he delivered his heartfelt Oscar acceptance speech for his role in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Quan’s story is a reminder dreams can come true. He was a child star in two of the biggest movies of the 1980s, and two of my favourites, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies. He gave up on acting when Hollywood gave up on him.

His story is a great reminder that success isn’t luck.

Success starts with laying the groundwork.

Know your dream.

Work out what you want to achieve, set some goals and create a plan.

This is the easy part!

It’s the execution that can be challenging.

Managing your energy. Looking out for opportunities. Following your instincts. Making informed decisions.

Finding the right people who believe in you.

Surrounding yourself with the right people can have a profound effect on your life.

The right people can give you greater confidence, help you improve your performance, so you achieve your goals, and provide the emotional support you need to cope with challenges and setbacks.
